The Herd
consists of People with a common interest in the old West (1800-1894),
Horsemanship, Animal rights activism, Nature preservation, and the
desire to have a good time with Family and Friends in a drama free
environment.
we enjoy
organized Trail rides, Campouts, monthly meetings with authentic Cowboy
Cooking, Horse Clinics to gain more knowledge about Western riding,
Trail ethics and horsemanship in general.
Besides
Horseback riding, We like to engage in fun activities such as Roping,
tomahawk throwing, Black Powder shooting, Reenactments of the old West
etc. there is something for every member, Horse Owner or not.

Our goal for
every year is to organize several events which include:
1
Main Event : Reenactment of the time
Period of 1800 - 1894
(In 1894 the first gas
powered Vehicle hit the road)
Events will include Music, Camping,
Reenactments of Historical Events that fit the time frame, Authentic
Cowboy Cooking, bonfires and several Competitions in before mentioned
disciplines.
2 Camp
Outs with 1 or more Trail rides, and
fun competitions which will be announced in the calendar link prior to
the event
4 horse
clinics with professional trainers
such as our member and well known horseman
Donny harrof. topics will be decided by participants and members prior
to the clinic
And of course
as many local trail rides as we can fit in a year
